Where the download comes from

Steam is the only storefront the developers point to. The launch announcement links to the Steam page and nothing else, and no other digital store is named in any official post.

Buying it there puts the game in your Steam library and lets Steam handle the download, the updates and the save location. That matters more than usual with this game — two patches landed in the first three days, and one of them changed which saves the game will load at all.

The two DLC, and what is in them

Both DLC released on 9 September alongside Update #2, after passing verification. Until then the Goodies Pack existed only as a promise in the pre-launch announcement, and the Soundtrack had not been mentioned at all.

The Goodies Pack is cosmetic. The developers list new cats, new drone skins, new planter designs, new wallpapers and a Digital Botanical Companion. Nothing in the announcement describes it as changing how the game plays. If those items do not show up in a save started after a launch-week update, see missing DLC colours.

A Tiny Eden kitchen counter with three jars of red jam, a knife rack, a mortar and pestle and a bowl of vegetables — The kitchen is where harvests become sellable food. Those jam jars on the counter are the same item Update #1 fixed for blocking movement.

Which systems it runs on

The Steam listing flags Windows and Linux. There is no macOS build listed, and no console version has been announced for any platform — the developer posts through launch and both updates mention none.

Update #2 did improve controller support: gamepad key remapping now works properly and keyboard and controller settings were merged into one Controls screen. That is the closest thing to a Steam Deck improvement so far, though the developers have not published a Deck compatibility statement.

The languages it ships in

The store lists ten: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil) and Russian. Update #1 said Belarusian was added, but it has not appeared on the store list and Update #2 refers to "all 10 supported languages" — so ten is the count the developers themselves currently use.

Update #2 also added translations for soil names, settings labels, measurement units and the XP counter, and improved pluralisation in Russian and Polish. Russian in particular is well served, which matters given how much of the search traffic for this game is Russian-language.

If you were looking for a free copy

There is no free version any more. The demo that ran from 8 July was delisted around the 7 September launch, and the developers do not distribute the full game for free anywhere.
